Explanation about my page...
I found some of the info given for this challenge a bit contradictory this would indicate no photo... -- Hints: Abstract Art is definied as art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors and textures. but a photo was one of the requirements.. one highly processed and blended into the background. OK got that!
But then I went to the link for more info on this art form and here is what was said....
Your design might try to establish a mood. Or you may try to share an emotion visually. But overall, you enjoy using your page design to visually communicate a moment in time thoughtfully.
You take advantage of the memory-keeping aspect of scrapbooking combined with new digital technology.
While your photos are an important aspect of your page, yourconcentrate more on your photo-editing process to create dramatic and processed photo-based page results. Thus, your photos become your main and most valued embellishment.
So here is where I went with this... The photo is of the Truck Stop where my husband worked when I first met him 59 years ago, taken this summer... he died 20 years ago this summer. I chose a photo of him, that first summer I met him. Trust me, it is HIGHLY processed... quite different from the original. I chose to barely blend the photos into the papers, although I could easily have done that...this page is about him and where he worked so long ago... thus I made them my "most valued" element.
