  1. Amber Shaw just put out a beautiful dance kit: http://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=35772&cat=&page=1
  2. It is full on traditional art supplies (paint, gesso, mediums, etc.). I've switched all of my scrapbooking (memory keeping) types of pages to digital, but I still love playing with paint. Donna's Inspiration Journals are more about playing with techniques and learning new things, as opposed to an art journal. Although I always incorporate art journaling concepts into my pages by including things that are personally relevant to me. BTW - the February 1 Blog article is about how to combine the best of digital and the best of traditional into one project.
  3. So excited for this to start! I want to finish either my 2015 or 2016 Inspiration Journal (Donna Downey). They are both about 1/2 finished now, so maybe I'll just say both of them since I alternate back and forth between them. I'll finish one page in the 2015 journal and then while it is drying, I start working on the next page in the 2016 journal. I am not falling into the same trap I did last year, by saying that I wouldn't start 2016 until I finished 2015 (which is why I am so far behind on the 2016 journal now). I've already started the 2017 journal and am up to date with the first two pages. (Yay me!)
  4. Thank you for playing along this month and for all of the gorgeous challenge pages! Mr. Random picked Suzanner as the winner this month - Congrats. Kathy will be in touch with your prize information.
  5. Trust me, I definitely have those days too! I'm so glad you submitted your tutorial page though, it is fabulous!
  6. Loving these pages everyone! Brushes are definitely my favorite digi tool.
  7. Welcome to the March 2016 Challenge! As always, the challenge will be based on the techniques featured in the current Champions installment. All participants will win a set of beautiful journal cards and bits created by the amazingly talented Scrapaneers' Peers. And one lucky RANDOM participant will win a $10 gift certificate towards any Scrapaneers class! Without further ado, here is this month’s challenge: I want you to get your digital brushes out and use them to "paint" your design onto the page. You can use brushes to paint photos, papers or colors (or all three) onto your page. Yes, it is that simple. The cool thing about brushes is that even with this one simple instruction I know we will see a complete variety of different page styles and designs in the gallery. Brushes are so versatile that they can be used in multiple ways on any type of digital design. I love them! Looking for some inspiration? Here is my page: I used watercolor brushes to paint my sketched photo, pattern papers and coordinating colors onto the page. I used the fabulous March Champions kit, featuring Paris in the Spring by Nancie Rowe Janitz. Ready to get started? Your completed challenge layout must be: Posted in the Scrapaneers Challenge gallery. In your description, please tell us what you painted onto your page. Linked to this thread. No later than 11:59 p.m. EST on April 15, 2016. I can't wait to see your painted creations in the gallery.
