  1. Amber Shaw just put out a beautiful dance kit: http://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=35772&cat=&page=1
  2. It is full on traditional art supplies (paint, gesso, mediums, etc.). I've switched all of my scrapbooking (memory keeping) types of pages to digital, but I still love playing with paint. Donna's Inspiration Journals are more about playing with techniques and learning new things, as opposed to an art journal. Although I always incorporate art journaling concepts into my pages by including things that are personally relevant to me. BTW - the February 1 Blog article is about how to combine the best of digital and the best of traditional into one project.
  3. So excited for this to start! I want to finish either my 2015 or 2016 Inspiration Journal (Donna Downey). They are both about 1/2 finished now, so maybe I'll just say both of them since I alternate back and forth between them. I'll finish one page in the 2015 journal and then while it is drying, I start working on the next page in the 2016 journal. I am not falling into the same trap I did last year, by saying that I wouldn't start 2016 until I finished 2015 (which is why I am so far behind on the 2016 journal now). I've already started the 2017 journal and am up to date with the first two pages. (Yay me!)
  4. Starting Today

Created with The Magic of Beginnings Collection
  5. This is such a lovely page, Yobeth! Great mixture of patterns and the photo perspective is fabulous.
  6. Gorgeous page, Lor and such a precious memory. I love what you did with the floral stitches too.
  7. LOVE this, Christa!!! That velum overlay over the background is perfect to tone it down a bit and photo seems like it was made to be scrapped with this kit.
  8. Suddenly You Know

  9. This is beautiful, Zeneva! I love that mermaid kit by Rachel - and you integrated it so well with your design.
  10. Fabulous pages, everyone! I love seeing how the same board can inspire people in so many different ways.
  11. Welcome to the Scrapaneers Birthday Celebration! I hope you have been having fun with all of the challenges and celebration activities this week - we have lots more to come. I have a fun inspiration challenge for you today. All you need to do is use this inspiration board as the jumping off point for a layout. (Yes, it is that easy.) You can use anything on the board - the colors, flowers, doodles, black and white photo, blocked layout - and let that be the inspiration for your page. Just let us know what you were inspired by in your gallery/post comments. Post your page in the Scrapaneers Birthday Bash Challenge Gallery and link it in this thread by 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, August 7. (If you have any questions about how to link a gallery post in a forum thread, go HERE.) The prize for the winner of this challenge is (1) $25.00 gift certificate to a digital scrapbooking product store of your choice. The winner will be randomly selected. Remember, if you would like to be considered for the Grand Prize (a year's scholarship to Scrapaneers) you need to complete each challenge this week.
  12. Thank you for playing along this month and for all of the gorgeous challenge pages! Mr. Random picked Suzanner as the winner this month - Congrats. Kathy will be in touch with your prize information.
  13. Trust me, I definitely have those days too! I'm so glad you submitted your tutorial page though, it is fabulous!
  14. You did a great job without the dimensional elements - that would be sooooo difficult for me too! The brushwork scene you created is fabulous.
  15. Ohhh, this is so sweet! I love how you brushed on a solid area for your journaling and what a cute Valentine's Day present.
